As an independent contractor, Scribes Paralegal Support is not on your payroll and does not qualify for any employment benefits. Services can be provided on an as-needed basis. It's a one size fits all approach designed to provide you help when you need it. 

How does it work? Well, a brief conference call or in person meeting to discuss your needs and then we get started. Requests can then be sent via email or communicated over the phone. We then work together with parties, opposing counsel or the opposing party, and court staff to complete an assignment, which is then conveyed back to you. At first you may question whether a person can just jump into a case and effectively compose a well written Affidavit hitting all the points necessary, but rest assured it is done on a regular basis.

Regular tasks include drafting pleadings of any kind, conducting legal research, scheduling hearings, posing service requests, e-filing, MNDES, crafting responsive communications to the opposing side, reconciling discovery requests and responses, creating balance sheets with supporting documentation, running child support scenarios, calculating non-marital interests, tracing and assisting in trial preparation, and support at Trial.
